When Madeleine McCann vanished from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal in May 2007 it became a global media story. What really happened on that day remains a mystery. I wondered whether Spirit could bring fresh understanding to this puzzle?
One evening I sat down in my healing room and asked Spirit to allow the truth of what happened to Madeleine McCann to be revealed. My intent was to bring this mystery to a close once and for all. Here is an account of what I heard (clairaudience) and saw (clairvoyance) during that session.
The accomplice
From the very beginning I realised that the entire focus was on one person. ‘I’m accomplice’. The meaning of these words is clear. Someone, still alive, helped the perpetrators in their task of covering up the gruesome events of that evening. I now began to understand how my request might be achieved. An accomplice is the weakest link in the chain. If that person were ‘worked upon’ by Spirit, given the moral and spiritual strength to confess, then the truth would indeed come to light.
Bribery
Next I hear ‘palm tree’. Communications from Spirit are often sent in the form of riddles and puns, allowing multiple meanings and complex truths to be conveyed rapidly and economically. This is no exception. The words here tell me that this person has been paid well for his work, and for his silence (greased palm). A substantial amount of money is involved, enough to cover the cost of many an exotic holiday (palm trees).
High alert
But all this material wealth and luxury is as nothing to the fear of discovery. The adrenalin rush felt through my body tells me that this man is constantly on high alert. The threat of discovery is never far from his mind. ‘You look like nobody’ I hear. Even now, ten years later, his effort is still focussed on appearing ‘normal’. No one must ever suspect his secret. And up till now he has done a good job. But the psychological toll is huge. Not for one second has he felt able to let down his guard. The luxury of freedom of speech is not for him. One slip of the tongue and the game could be over.
For the good of the soul
‘I never took her’. He tries to fool himself that he is not the guilty partner, but he can’t. His actions and conduct are morally (and criminally) at fault, and his conscience is in torment. This anguished spark of spiritual consciousness is the focal point of the healing.
‘Might turn round a bit’. This important cryptic phrase tells me that the accomplice has the spiritual strength (might) to make a full confession. It won’t be easy, but with help it can be achieved. This deed alone would benefit his soul by easing the karmic burden accrued through his complicit actions.
‘Still out there’ and ‘antique loss’ once again have double meanings. The words refer to Madeleine’s unrecovered body. Memories of her lifeless body, so composed in death, increase his inner turmoil. This man’s self worth is in shreds and his suffering is considerable.
By helping him to understand the true cost to his soul of remaining silent, the accomplice is gradually persuaded that confession is his best chance of salvation. Failure to confess his sins now will create a greater burden (‘that shoulder’) later.
Misplaced loyalty
‘Grass my side’. He needs to understand that by making a full confession (grassing) to the police he will be helping everyone, not least himself and the perpetrators. Holding his tongue is an ignoble and misplaced loyalty. The karmic consequences are too great. It’s not worth it.
I hear the words ‘guilt or fame’. The accomplice is wondering what kind of notoriety will be his lot if he confesses. Will he be damned, or perhaps praised for his courage in coming forward? It could go either way.
Spiritual awareness
‘Now I’ve opened the door’. At last the accomplice is fully conscious of new opportunities awaiting him, a means of escape from his present suffering. He understands his predicament from a spiritual perspective.
‘They’ve gone’. Old attitudes are now gone, simultaneously sweeping away former allegiances. The words ‘like a bird’ and ‘bad thrush’ tell me more. He is now truly contemplating rising above (bird) this torrid situation, no longer wishing to be contaminated (thrush) by his paid handiwork for others. A bright light sweeps into my view. ‘Come on, accelerate now’. Spirit is putting on the pressure, encouraging a speedy conclusion.
What now?
I am always intrigued and surprised by the response I receive to my spiritual requests. Rarely are there straightforward answers, and this is no exception, but there are signs of possible future outcomes.
The mystery of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance could be solved if a vital witness were to speak out. He (or she) now has the emotional strength and spiritual insight to achieve this. Spirit has been busy healing any hindrances to a full confession. But ultimately the accomplice has freewill. It will be his choice whether to speak out at this moment or not. Further healings would undoubtedly strengthen his resolve to do so.
